Privacy Policy

At Toyotsu Chemiplas Corporation (hereafter referred to as "the Company"), we feel that it is our social responsibility to appropriately handle and securely manage the information that is provided to us by our customers. Moreover, it is our belief that this concept forms the basis for establishing a trustworthy relationship with customers. In order to protect the privacy of personal information provided by our customers, the Company adheres to all laws and regulations Field to personal privacy protection, including the law about protection of personal information, as well as guidelines stipulated by the competent minister. 1. Appropriate acquisition of personal information and notification and disclosure of the purpose of use of such information, etc.
Having specified to the greatest degree possible the purpose of use for the information, the Company shall acquire personal information (meaning here information about an existing person and specified individuals who can be identified) through appropriate means, and shall publicize the purpose of use for such information, or shall notify customers or publicize the content to them immediately. However, in the event that information is acquired directly from customers in writing, this shall be clearly indicated (hereunder such measures will be collectively referred to as "notification and publicity").
2. Use of personal information
The Company shall use personal information within the scope of the purpose of use notified and publicized to customers. This excludes cases where the consent of the customer has been received in advance and cases provided by laws and regulations as exceptions.
3. Provision of personal information to third parties
The Company shall not disclose or supply personal data to third parties without the prior consent of the customer ("Personal data" is defined hereinafter as personal information comprising a personal information database, etc., and "personal information database, etc." is defined hereinafter as a collection of information, including personal information, which is designated by government ordinance as something systematically structured so as to ensure easy retrievability of specific personal information). However, this excludes cases provided by laws and regulations as exceptions.
4. Management of personal information
The Company shall make every effort to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the personal information data being handled, within the scope of the information required for the purpose of use. In addition, in order to prevent leakage, loss, personal detriment or unauthorized access, the Company shall take the necessary and appropriate measures, and shall make every effort to monitor employees and contractors, and to conduct appropriate management practices.
5. Inquiries concerning data on individuals held by the company
In the event that the Company receives a request for disclosure of retained personal data ("Retained personal data" is defined hereinafter as personal data for which the Company has the authority to disclose, correct, etc., excluding personal data that is designated by government ordinance as information which, if the existence or nonexistence of the said information were known, would threaten public (or other) welfare, and which is not designated for deletion within six months) from the customer him or herself (including a representative), or for notification of purpose of use, correction, cessation of use, etc., the Company shall respond within a reasonable range to that request by the customer (or a representative) in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
6. Complaints procedure
The company shall respond promptly and appropriately in response to complaints from customers and shall make efforts to maintain an internal company system to process any complaints that should arise.

Guidance relating to items for disclosure pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Law

At Toyotsu Chemiplas Corporation (hereafter referred to as "the Company"), we undertake to disclose the following items to our customers, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law. Please feel free to peruse the details below. (The terms used are the same as those in the Company's Personal Information Protection Law.)

1. Purpose of use for personal information handled by the company

Personal information of customers shall be used for the following purposes in work described hereunder in "Business of the company in which personal information of customers is to be used."

  • (1) For contact purposes in the course of business
  • (2) In the execution of contracts, such as for the supply of products and services
  • (3) Notification or supply of information concerning products and services handled by the company
  • (4) Notification concerning various seminars and exhibitions, etc., organized by the company
  • (5) Various kinds of surveys, including questionnaires
  • (6) Response to questions and requests from customers
  • (7) In cases in which the purposes for use are demonstrated separately, for that specifically designated individual purpose

<Business of the company in which personal information of customers is to be used>

  • The sale and purchase, and import/export of the following products
    • Organic and inorganic chemical products; drugs and medicines; quasi-drugs; toxic substances; cosmetic products; and explosives, including the raw materials and additives used in their production
    • Products, raw materials, secondary materials, additives, molds, processing machinery and accompanying equipment relating to synthetic resins, synthetic rubber, synthetic fiber, carbon fiber and natural resins
    • Mineral products; metals; and raw materials and products using rare-earth elements such as yttrium and lanthanum, and ceramics
    • Products, raw materials, secondary materials, molds, processing machinery and accompanying equipment relating to steel sheets and non-ferrous wire
    • Food products, health food products and confectionery, including the raw materials and additives used in their production
    • Animal feed additives, and raw materials used in their production
    • Machinery and devices, including parts, for chemical engineering, food processing, medical care and office use
    • Materials and equipment for architectural use, and raw materials used in their production
    • Household equipment and appliances
    • Container-type storage for transportation
    • Products for nursing care, medical instruments and equipment, health and beauty appliances, daily necessities/miscellaneous goods, as well as parts for all these
    • Machinery and parts for urethane foam, synthetic resin molds, and automatic baggage collection and delivery storage
    • Medicaments and equipment used in the recycling of farm/marine animal product waste and industrial waste
    • Synthetic timber raw materials and timber processed products for interiors and exteriors
    • Battery and electronics-related raw materials and products, as well as machinery and parts used in their manufacture
    • Petroleum products and high-pressure gas
    • Auto parts
    • Various kinds of container, such as drums, gas cylinders, freight containers etc
  • The development, manufacture, processing, production technology supervision, management and testing of products mentioned in no.1 above, in addition to business involving commissioning and receipt of commissions, and contracting
  • The rental and leasing of property, and property intermediary business
  • On receipt of a commission from a company or organization, the performing of clerical operations relating to bookkeeping entries, financial accounting, and account settling, as well as fiscal calculation operations
  • The sale/purchase, and leasing of intellectual property rights incidental and/or relating to all of the preceding items
  • Study, planning, development and consulting services incidental and/or relating to all of the preceding items
  • All other operations incidental and/or relating to all of the preceding items

Notes:

  • (1) Means of personal identification
    As required by law, the company will respond to requests after having being able to confirm that the person making the request is the customer him or herself (including a representative of the customer).
  • (2) Method of response by the company to requests
    In principle, the Company shall send by post a written response to the person who made the request (or their representative if so required).
  • (3) Cases in which requests cannot be fulfilled
    Customers should be aware that in the following cases requests can sometimes not be fulfilled.
    • a) Identify of the customer (or representative) cannot be confirmed.
    • b) Power of attorney cannot be confirmed (in the event that a request is made by a representative).
    • c) Cases pertaining to laws and ordinances.
  • (4) Cases in which the company does not possess the personal information that has been requested
    The Company will respond by indicating that it does not possess the said information.
